Gundersen National Child Protection Training Center (NCPTC) and the Jacob Wetterling Resource Center (JWRC) have created a program to facilitate personal safety awareness among children and teens. The program encourages children to "trust their gut or uh-oh feeling" and to always ask someone you trust if you don't feel comfortable. Caroline County Board of Education is partnering with Caroline County Child Advocacy Center to bring this program to kindergarten and first grade classes in the five elementary schools in the county. The prevention program will continue to run each year with the goal of having every Caroline County child understand the values of personal safety from a young age. Below is a summary video as well as a video from Alison Feigh, a trainer from NCPTC/JWRC who helped create the program.
